— About this tour

The deepest
Georgia we offer.

Svaneti is its own world. Isolated for centuries in the Caucasus high country, this region kept its own language, stone tower architecture, and traditions while empires rose and fell below. The Mongols didn't break Svaneti. The Ottomans didn't break Svaneti. The Soviets didn't break Svaneti.

Our 8-day tour combines four major hikes — Shdugra Waterfall, Mulakhi Valley, Chubedishi Mountain, Chalaadi Glacier — with visits to Ushguli (UNESCO), and cultural stops at Prometheus Cave, Uplistsikhe, and Mtskheta along the route. This is our most physically demanding hiking tour, and the most rewarding.

Regions & hikes
  • Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (UNESCO)
  • Uplistsikhe 3,000-year cave city
  • Prometheus Cave (stalactites)
  • Shdugra Waterfall hike (~10km, 400m gain)
  • Mulakhi Valley + Svan towers
  • Ushguli (UNESCO) + Tower of Love
